Yeniköy Kemerköy Electricity Generation and Trade Inc. YK Enerji, which gives priority to the people of the region and currently provides 75 percent of its employment from the surrounding villages, continues to contribute to the welfare of the district where it is located.

Shift Supervisor Halit Taşpınar, who has been working at Yeniköy Thermal Power Plant since 1986, said, “We live here as well as working here. We reside in social facilities. Our neighbors are also our colleagues. Therefore, even when we get together for tea in the evening, we talk about how we can make improvements in our business. Dec. I am lucky that my son aimed at this dream, persevered, after finishing school and gaining experience in other institutions for a while, he successfully passed the YK Energy interviews. It is my greatest pride for a father to see his son benefiting where he has worked for a long time, to see him coming out of his short pants with a helmet on his head and a vest of the institution. I have been living in social facilities since 1988. My son and his peers are also working in our power plants. Now, when I go out on the field, it's a source of pride for all the families to see the children growing up in our hands standing on their feet. In addition, it is a proof that the institutions that continue to produce for this country will continue to exist in a healthy way. His son Mehmet Taşpınar said, "First of all, we owe YK Enerji a debt of gratitude for giving us the opportunity to live our childhood dream. Many institutions do not prefer to buy jobs from the same surname. But the goal of those of us who are people of this geography and live here is to work at the power plant. We don't want to leave the land where we were born and raised and emigrate. In today's conditions, rents are very high, you have no chance of getting yield from the soil in the city. Here at least we have the chance to produce our own food. In addition, our children are also intertwined with nature and growing up.
