Archaeological excavations in the region are carried out by Yeniköy Kemerköy Elektrik Üretim ve Ticaret A.Ş. Milas Museum Director Mehmet Çelebi stated that “75 tombs of different types, belonging to the Early Bronze, Late Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Early Roman and Eastern Roman periods, four olive oil workshops and two housing floors were discovered by archaeologists in the excavations. The Milas Ruins Archeopark Area, which includes monumental tombs, architectural structures and unique examples that reflect the archaeological heritage of the region, is preparing to travel to 7 different periods of history and a period of 4 thousand 500 years together with the artifacts it contains.
